Polish Open: Monnet falls to qualifier Glushko in second round

Israeli qualifier Lina Glushko moved into the quarter-finals of the Polish Open by winning against Frenchwoman Carole Monnet 6-3, 6-4 on Wednesday.
Glushko, ranked No 311, will play the winner of the match between Swiss Leonie Kung and Japanese Mai Hontama, the second seed, next.
The Israeli beat Ukrainian Kateryna Baindl, the No 6 seed (6-2, 7-5) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Monnet, ranked No 196, defeated Pole wildcard Weronika Falkowska (6-4, 6-2).
