Barranquilla Open: Lepchenko moves into last 16
The American will face Croat Antonia Ruzic in the next round

American Varvara Lepchenko advanced to the last 16 of the Barranquilla Open when Bulgarian Gergana Topalova retired during their first-round match on Tuesday.
Lepchenko, ranked No 178, led 6-0, 4-1 when Topalova, ranked No 212, pulled out.
The 38-year-old American will play Croat Antonia Ruzic next.
