Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 6 seed, beat Chinese Zhizhen Zhang 6-4, 6-3 to reach the last 16 of the Cincinnati Masters at the Lindner Family Tennis Center on Thursday.
Rublev, ranked No 6, will face the winner of the match between American wildcard Brandon Nakashima and Frenchman Arthur Fils next.
Zhang, ranked No 44, won against Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (6-3, 7-6 (4)) in the previous round of the Cincy Open.
