Alert: Sabalenka routs Zheng in quarter-finals
Aryna Sabalenka eased past Qinwen Zheng in straight sets on Tuesday at the US Open. Sabalenka will face Emma Navarro in the semis.

Aryna Sabalenka, the second seed, defeated China’s Qinwen Zheng, the No 7 seed, 6-1, 6-2 to move into the last four of the US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York on Tuesday night.
Sabalenka will go up against American Emma Navarro, the No 13 seed, in Thursday’s semi-finals
The Belarusian previously defeated Australian qualifier Priscilla Hon (6-3, 6-3), Italian Lucia Bronzetti (6-3, 6-1), Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No 29 seed (2-6, 6-1, 6-2) and Belgian Elise Mertens, the No 33 seed (6-2, 6-4).
Zheng secured a quarter-final spot by beating American wild card Amanda Anisimova (4-6, 6-4, 6-2), Russian Erika Andreeva (6-7 (3), 6-1, 6-2), German Jule Niemeier (6-2, 6-1) and Croat Donna Vekic, the No 24 seed (7-6 (2), 4-6, 6-2).
