Gaston takes out top seed De Minaur to make Antwerp semis

Frenchman Hugo Gaston edged out Australian Alex De Minaur, the top seed, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 to advance to the semi-finals of the European Open at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp on Friday evening.
Gaston, ranked No 77, will face Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut next.
Ahead of his victory, the Frenchman beat Russian qualifier Alexey Vatutin (3-6, 6-3, 6-3) and edged out Argentinian Mariano Navone, the No 7 seed (6-4, 6-7 (3), 7-6 (4)).
De Minaur, ranked No 9, won against Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena (2-6, 6-4, 6-2) in the previous round of the Antwerp Open.
