Guangzhou: Danilovic dismisses fifth seed Parry to reach last eight
The Serb wil face the winner of the match between Chinese Yue Yuan, the No 3 seed, and Thai qualifier Mananchaya Sawangkaew in the next round

Serbia’s Olga Danilovic reached the last eight of the Guangzhou Open by winning against Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the No 5 seed, 6-1, 6-0 at the Nansha International Tennis Center on Wednesday.
Danilovic, ranked No 86, will face the winner of the match between Chinese Yue Yuan, the No 3 seed, and Thai qualifier Mananchaya Sawangkaew next.
The Serb defeated Russian Erika Andreeva (6-4, 6-4) in the previous round of the tournament.
Earlier in the week, Parry, ranked No 50, won against American lucky loser Emina Bektas (6-3, 6-2).
