Vienna Open: Khachanov advances to semi-finals

Russian Karen Khachanov won against Italian Matteo Berrettini 6-1, 6-4 to reach the semi-finals of the Vienna Open at the Wiener Stadthalle on Friday.
Khachanov, ranked No 24, will face the winner of the match between qualifier Jakub Mensik and Australian Alex De Minaur, the second seed, next.
The Russian defeated Brazilian qualifier Thiago Seyboth Wild (6-2, 6-4) and edged out American Brandon Nakashima (1-6, 6-3, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Vienna tournament, Berrettini, ranked No 41, beat Hungarian qualifier Marton Fucsovics (7-5, 6-4) and American Frances Tiafoe, the No 5 seed (6-3, 6-7 (6), 6-3).
