Hong Kong Open: Boulter moves into last eight

Second seed Katie Boulter won against Chinese Wang Xiyu 7-6 (7), 6-4 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Hong Kong Open at Victoria Park, Causeway Bay on Wednesday.
Boulter, ranked No 29, will play the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva, the No 7 seed, and Russian Anastasia Zakharova next.
Katie Boulter defeated Japanese Aoi Ito (6-4, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Hong Kong tournament, Wang, ranked No 100, beat American qualifier Hina Inoue (6-3, 7-6 (2)).
