LP Open by IND: Craciun moves into quarter-finals
The Romainian was simply too strong for Fossa Huergo 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 on Thursday
Romanian lucky loser Georgia Andreea Craciun beat Italian qualifier Nicole Fossa Huergo 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 to move into the quarter-finals of the LP Open by IND on Thursday.
Craciun, ranked No 443, will play Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle, the second seed, next.
The Romanian won against Carolina M. Alves (6-3, 6-2) in the previous round.
In the previous round, Fossa Huergo, ranked No 280, edged out Matilde Paoletti (6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (4)).
