LP Open by IND: Stojanovic dominates to book spot in semi-finals

Serb Nina Stojanovic moved into the semi-finals of the LP Open by IND by beating Latvian Darja Semenistaja, the No 6 seed, 6-1, 6-2 on Friday.
Stojanovic, ranked No 432, will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Guiomar Maristany Zuleta De Reales and No 8 seed Sara Bejlek next.
Ahead of her victory, the Serb won against Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens, the top seed (7-5, 6-2) and Ukrainian qualifier Oleksandra Oliynykova (6-4, 6-2).
Semenistaja, ranked No 121, benefited from the abandonment of Francesca Jones (7-6 (5), 2-3) and won against Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic (6-4, 7-6 (4)) in the previous rounds.
