Fifth Third Charleston 125 2: Top seed Zarazua moves into last four
The top seed was simply too strong

Mexican Renata Zarazua, the top seed, reached the semi-finals of the Fifth Third Charleston 125 2 by winning against American Louisa Chirico, the No 6 seed, 6-2, 6-4 on Friday.
Zarazua, ranked No 60, will face American wildcard Lauren Davis next.
In the previous rounds, the Mexican defeated Russian Alina Charaeva (6-2, 7-6 (5)) and Spaniard Irene Burillo Escorihuela (6-2, 6-1).
Chirico, ranked No 181, edged out Romanian Irina Bara (3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (3)) and beat Cypriot Raluka Serban (6-2, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
