Swiss wildcard Belinda Bencic advanced to the semi-finals of the Open In Arte Angers Loire by winning against Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin, the No 6 seed, 6-3, 6-1 on Friday evening.
Belinda Bencic will face the winner of the match between American Varvara Lepchenko and Dominika Salkova next.
In the previous rounds, the Swiss defeated Romanian qualifier Patricia Maria Tig (6-4, 6-1) and Georgian Mariam Bolkvadze (6-1, 6-1).
Dodin, ranked No 113, won against Brenda Fruhvirtova (6-2, 6-4) and Linda Fruhvirtova (6-4, 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
