American Varvara Lepchenko advanced to the last 8 of the Open BLS de Limoges by winning against Russian Anna Blinkova, the No 4 seed, 6-0, 6-0 on Thursday evening.
Lepchenko, ranked No 134, will face Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the No 6 seed, next.
The 38-year-old American edged out French wildcard Margaux Rouvroy (6-3, 6-7 (3), 6-4) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Blinkova, ranked No 72, defeated Romanian Elena-Gabriela Ruse (6-4, 6-1).
