American Emma Navarro, the second seed, moved into the last eight of the Adelaide International by winning against Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova 7-6 (4), 6-4 at the Memorial Drive Tennis Park on Wednesday.
Navarro, ranked No 8, will face the winner of the match between Swiss qualifier Belinda Bencic and Russian Liudmila Samsonova next.
Alexandrova, ranked No 27, defeated Canadian qualifier Leylah Fernandez (6-4, 3-6, 6-2) in the previous round of the tournament.
