WTA Indian Wells: Potapova battles into second round to face Keys

Russian Anastasia Potapova reached the second round of the BNP Paribas Open by edging out Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro 6-7 (5), 6-4, 7-5 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Thursday.

The Russian came from 5-3 down in the final set to win the last four games in a row to complete the victory.

Potapova, ranked No 34, has now won seven of her last eight matches on the tour, including a title run at Cluj-Napoca. She will face No 5 seed Madison Keys next.
