Indian Wells WTA 1000: Tauson moves into third round

Dane Clara Tauson, the No 22 seed, reached the third round of the Indian Wells WTA 1000 by winning against Colombian Camila Osorio 7-6 (3), 7-5 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Friday.

Tauson, ranked No 21, will play the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva and Russian Mirra Andreeva, the No 9 seed, next.

Osorio, ranked No 53, beat Japanese Naomi Osaka (6-4, 6-4) in the previous round of the Indian Wells tournament.
