Miami Masters: Fritz eases into quarter-finals
Taylor Fritz defeated Adam Walton 6-3, 7-5 on Tuesday night and will face Italian Matteo Berrettini, the No 29 seed, in the next round

American Taylor Fritz, the No 3 seed, won against Australian lucky loser Adam Walton 6-3, 7-5 to advance to the last eight of the Miami Masters at the Hard Rock Stadium on Tuesday night.
Fritz, ranked No 4, will play Italian Matteo Berrettini, the No 29 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the American defeated Italian Lorenzo Sonego (7-6 (2), 6-3) and Canadian Denis Shapovalov, the No 27 seed (7-5, 6-3).
Walton, ranked No 89, won against Italian Luciano Darderi (6-4, 6-4) and edged out wildcard Chak Lam Coleman Wong (7-6 (6), 4-6, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Miami Open.
