German qualifier Caroline Werner advanced to the last 16 of the Open Internacional Femení Solgironès by winning against Romanian Miriam Bulgaru 7-5, 6-1 on Monday.
Werner, ranked No 363, will play the winner of the match between Andorran Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva, the No 9 seed, and Japanese Sara Saito next.
