Charleston Open: Kalinskaya upsets Australian Open champ Keys

Russian Anna Kalinskaya, the No 14 seed, beat American Madison Keys, the second seed, 6-2, 6-4 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Charleston Open at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Thursday.
Kalinskaya, ranked No 33, will face the winner of the match between Australian Daria Kasatkina, the No 5 seed, and American Sofia Kenin next.
In the previous round of the Charleston tournament, the Russian won against American qualifier Catherine McNally (6-1, 6-4).
Keys, ranked No 5, won against Caroline Dolehide (6-3, 7-6 (4)) in the previous round of the Charleston tournament.
