Serb qualifier Hamad Medjedovic won against Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard 7-5, 7-6 (6) to move into the second round of the Barcelona Open at Real Club de Tenis Barcelona on Monday.
Medjedovic, ranked No 72, will play the winner of the match between Colombian qualifier Daniel Elahi Galan and Norwegian Casper Ruud, the second seed, next.
