Italian Lucrezia Stefanini advanced to the last 16 of the Catalonia Open by beating Serb qualifier Aleksandra Krunic 7-6 (3), 7-5 on Tuesday.
Stefanini, ranked No 150, will face the winner of the match between Australian Maya Joint, the No 6 seed, and Spanish wildcard Aliona Bolsova next.
