Hungarian Dalma Galfi moved into the semi-finals of the Catalonia Open by beating Spaniard Guiomar Maristany Zuleta De Reales 6-2, 6-4 on Thursday.
Galfi, ranked No 121, will face Russian Oksana Selekhmeteva next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Hungarian won against Chinese Xiyu Wang (6-3, 6-2) and Australian Kimberly Birrell, the No 4 seed (6-2, 6-1).
Maristany Zuleta De Reales, ranked No 196, defeated Australian Daria Saville (6-2, 6-3) and Russian Kamilla Rakhimova, the No 8 seed (6-1, 2-6, 6-2) in the previous rounds.
