Alert – Rome Masters: Alcaraz wins the trophy
Carlos Alcaraz won the trophy on Sunday evening against Jannik Sinner.

Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the No 3 seed, beat Italian Jannik Sinner, the top seed, 7-6 (5), 6-1 to win the Rome Masters title at the Foro Italico in Roma on Sunday evening.
Alcaraz, ranked No 3, defeated Serb qualifier Dusan Lajovic (6-3, 6-3), Serb Laslo Djere (7-6 (2), 6-2), Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 23 seed (6-3, 3-6, 7-5), No 5 seed Jack Draper (6-4, 6-4) and Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 8 seed (6-3, 7-6 (4)) ahead of his victory.
In the previous rounds of the Italian Open, Sinner, ranked No 1, defeated Argentinian Mariano Navone (6-3, 6-4), Dutch lucky loser Jesper De Jong (6-4, 6-2), Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 17 seed (7-6 (2), 6-3), Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 6 seed (6-0, 6-1) and American Tommy Paul, the No 11 seed (1-6, 6-0, 6-3).
