Jacob Fearnley advanced to the second round of the Geneva Open by defeating Serb wildcard Dusan Lajovic 6-4, 6-1 at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Monday.
Fearnley, ranked No 54, will play Australian Alexei Popyrin, the No 5 seed, next.
