Austrian qualifier Sebastian Ofner reached the second round of the Geneva Open by beating Russian qualifier Ivan Gakhov 6-1, 6-2 at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Monday.

Ofner, ranked No 128, will play Portuguese Nuno Borges next.
