Tomas Martin Etcheverry moved into the second round of the Hamburg Open by beating Francisco Comesana 7-6 (4), 6-3 at Tennis Stadion on Tuesday afternoon.
Etcheverry, ranked No 55, will face the winner of the match between No 8 seed Sebastian Baez and Camilo Ugo Carabelli next.
