Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 6 seed, won against Austrian qualifier Sebastian Ofner 6-3, 6-4 to reach the final of the Geneva Open at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Friday afternoon.
Hurkacz, ranked No 31, will play the winner of the match between qualifier Cameron Norrie and Serb Novak Djokovic, the second seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the Pole beat French wildcard Arthur Cazaux (6-3, 6-4), Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech (6-4, 6-1) and American Taylor Fritz, the top seed (6-3, 7-6 (5)).
Ofner, ranked No 128, defeated Russian qualifier Ivan Gakhov (6-1, 6-2), Portuguese Nuno Borges (7-6 (2), 7-6 (4)) and Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 4 seed (4-6, 6-4, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
