Roland-Garros: Gauff through to last 16

American Coco Gauff, the second seed, moved into the last 16 of Roland-Garros by defeating Marie Bouzkova 6-1, 7-6 (3).
Gauff is the youngest American woman to reach the Fourth Round for seven or more consecutive Grand Slam events since Venus Williams made nine in a row between the US Open 1997 and 1999.
Gauff, ranked No 2, will face No 20 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova next.
Ahead of her victory, the 21-year-old American won against Australian Olivia Gadecki (6-2, 6-2) and qualifier Tereza Valentova (6-2, 6-4).
Bouzkova, ranked No 47, won against Russian Anna Kalinskaya, the No 30 seed (6-4, 7-5) and Sonay Kartal (6-1, 6-4) in the previous rounds.
