Sara Bejlek defeated Andorran Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva 6-0, 6-1 to win the Makarska Open tournament on Sunday evening.
Bejlek, ranked No 188, beat Spaniard Leyre Romero Gormaz (2-6, 6-2, 6-3), Croat Petra Martic, the No 7 seed (4-6, 6-3, 6-4), Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the No 4 seed (6-2, 6-4) and Australian Maya Joint, the top seed (2-6, 7-5, 6-2) in the previous rounds.
Earlier in the tournament, Jimenez Kasintseva, ranked No 146, defeated German Ella Seidel, the No 6 seed (4-6, 6-1, 6-4), Belgian Hanne Vandewinkel (6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-3), Croat wildcard Petra Marcinko (6-2, 6-3) and Serb Lola Radivojevic (6-7 (2), 7-5, 6-4).
