Stuttgart Open: Auger-Aliassime moves into last eight, faces wildcard Engel next

Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 4 seed, reached the last eight of the Stuttgart Open by winning against Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard 6-4, 6-4 at Tennisclub Weissenhof Stuttgart on Thursday.

Auger-Aliassime, ranked No 29, will face German wildcard Justin Engel next.

In the previous round of the Stuttgart tournament, Mpetshi Perricard, ranked No 36, edged out Russian Roman Safiullin (7-6 (10), 3-6, 7-5).
