Wildcard Daniel Evans won against American Tommy Paul, the second seed, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 to advance to the last 8 of the Eastbourne Open at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club on Wednesday evening.
Evans, ranked No 170, will play American lucky loser Jenson Brooksby next.
Daniel Evans edged out Serb Miomir Kecmanovic (3-6, 6-4, 6-4) ahead of his victory.
