Wimbledon: Jarry halts Fonseca fightback to extend Wimbledon run into last 16
Nicolas Jarry edged out Joao Fonseca 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (4) on Friday and will face Cameron Norrie in the next round

Nicolas Jarry edged out Brazilian Joao Fonseca 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (4) to reach the last 16 of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
The Chilean becomes the first qualifier from South America to reach the fourth round at Wimbledon since compatriot Ricardo Acuna in 1985.
In doing so, he continues his remarkable run, having eventually overcome Dane Holger Rune, the No 8 seed 4-6, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 in the first round before coming through against Learner Tien and now Fonseca.
On a typically raucous encounter against the young Brazilian and his vocal contingent of ardent fans, Jarry held firm to stem a rousing fightback from Fonseca and move into his first Wimbledon fourth-round appearance.
Jarry, ranked No 143, will face home hope Cameron Norrie next.
Earlier in the tournament, Fonseca, ranked No 54, defeated Jacob Fearnley (6-4, 6-1, 7-6 (5)) and edged out American Jenson Brooksby (6-4, 5-7, 6-2, 6-4).
