Wimbledon: Samsonova downs Kasatkina in the third round
Liudmila Samsonova won against Daria Kasatkina 6-2, 6-3 on Saturday. She’ll face the winner of the match between Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro and Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska in the next round

Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 19 seed, won against Australian Daria Kasatkina, the No 16 seed, 6-2, 6-3 to move into the last 16 of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Saturday.
Samsonova, ranked No 19, will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro and Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska next.
The Russian beat Australian Maya Joint (6-3, 6-2) and Ukrainian Yuliia Starodubtseva (6-2, 6-1) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of The Championships, Kasatkina, ranked No 18, won against Colombian Emiliana Arango (7-5, 6-3) and Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu (6-2, 4-6, 6-1).
