American Frances Tiafoe, the No 10 seed, reached the last 16 of the Cincinnati Masters by defeating Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 20 seed, 6-4, 6-4 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center on Monday evening.
Tiafoe, ranked No 14, will face Dane Holger Rune, the No 7 seed, next. Rune won against American Alex Michelsen, the No 28 seed, 7-6 (4), 6-3 in the opening match of the day.
