Tokyo Open: Bencic books spot in final

Swiss Belinda Bencic, the No 5 seed, advanced to the final of the Tokyo Open by defeating American Sofia Kenin, the No 10 seed, 7-6 (5), 3-6, 6-2 at the Ariake Coliseum on Saturday night.
Bencic, ranked No 13, will face Czech Linda Noskova, the No 6 seed, next. Noskova benefited from Rybakina’s withdrawal in the other semifinal.
Ahead of her victory, the Swiss edged out Czech Karolina Muchova, the No 8 seed (3-6, 7-5, 7-5) and won against French qualifier Varvara Gracheva (6-4, 6-3).
