Paris Masters: Dimitrov withdraws, Medvedev moves into last 16
Daniil Medvedev benefited from the forfeit of Grigor Dimitrov on Wednesday afternoon and will play the winner of the match between No 7 seed Lorenzo Musetti and Lorenzo Sonego in the next round

            Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 11 seed, advanced to the last 16 of Paris Masters after Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov withdrew before the match at the La Défense Arena on Wednesday afternoon.
Dimitrov was back to competition last Monday after fourteen weeks out of the Tour, and then played with Nicolas Mahut in doubles on Tuesday. Dimitrov, ranked No 38, won against Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (7-6 (5), 6-1).
Medvedev, ranked No 13, will face the winner of the match between No 7 seed Lorenzo Musetti and Lorenzo Sonego next.
