Russian Daniil Medvedev, the top seed, advanced to the final of the Brisbane International presented by ANZ by defeating American Alex Michelsen 6-4, 6-2 on Saturday night.
Medvedev, ranked No 13, will play Brandon Nakashima next.
Ahead of his victory, the Russian won against Pole lucky loser Kamil Majchrzak (6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-2), American Frances Tiafoe (6-3, 6-2) and Hungarian Marton Fucsovics (6-2, 6-3).
