Halle: Hurkacz wins tight tussle with Auger-Aliassime, faces Kyrgios in semi

Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 5 seed, won against Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 4 seed, 7-6 (2), 7-6 (4) to advance to the last four of Halle at the Owl Arena/Gerry-Weber-Stadion on Friday evening.
Hurkacz, ranked No 12, will face Australian wildcard Nick Kyrgios next.
The Pole edged out American qualifier Maxime Cressy (6-4, 4-6, 6-4) and defeated Frenchman Ugo Humbert (7-6 (5), 6-3) in the previous rounds of the Halle Open.
Earlier in the tournament, Auger-Aliassime, ranked No 9, beat American Marcos Giron (6-3, 5-7, 6-3) and American Mackenzie McDonald (7-6 (7), 6-1).
