Wimbledon: Tan reaches third round

Frenchwoman Harmony Tan reached the third round of Wimbledon by winning against Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo, the No 32 seed, 6-3, 6-4 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Thursday afternoon.
Tan, ranked No 115, will face wildcard Katie Boulter next.
The Frenchwoman edged out American wildcard Serena Williams (7-5, 1-6, 7-6 (7)) in the previous round.
During the first round, Sorribes Tormo, ranked No 45, beat American qualifier Christina McHale (6-2, 6-1).
