Lausanne Open: Potapova beats Bronzetti to reach second round
Anastasia Potapova scored a three set win over Lucia Bronzetti in the WTA 250 event in Lausanne
The Russian player also took her name off the entry list for the season’s second Grand Slam.
Russian Anastasia Potapova edged out Italian Lucia Bronzetti 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 to reach the second round of the Lausanne Open at Tennis Club du Stade-Lausanne on Monday evening.
Potapova, ranked No 79, will face the winner of the match between Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu, the No 3 seed, and German Tamara Korpatsch next.
