Hungarian Grand Prix: Krunic advances to quarter-finals
Aleksandra Krunic won against Shuai Zhang 6-1, 6-0 on Thursday. She’ll face the winner of the match between Chinese Xiyu Wang and Romanian Ana Bogdan in the next round
Serb Aleksandra Krunic beat Chinese Shuai Zhang, the No 6 seed, 6-1, 6-0 to advance to the last 8 of the Hungarian Grand Prix at Római Tennis Academy in Budapest on Thursday.
Krunic, ranked No 105, will face the winner of the match between Chinese Xiyu Wang and Romanian Ana Bogdan next.
The Serb won against German Laura Siegemund (6-3, 6-4) in the previous round of the Hungarian Open.
In the previous round of the Hungarian Open, Zhang, ranked No 37, defeated Georgian Ekaterine Gorgodze (7-5, 6-1).
