Hibino upsets the defending champion Krejcikova in Prague
Nao Hibino beat Barbora Krejcikova 3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3 on Thursday afternoon. She’ll face the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 5 seed, and Czech wildcard Linda Noskova in the next round
Japanese lucky loser Nao Hibino advanced to the last eight of the Prague Open by winning against the defending champion Barbora Krejcikova 3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3 at TK Sparta Praha on Thursday.
Hibino, ranked No 251, will face the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 5 seed, and Czech wildcard Linda Noskova next.
In the previous round, the Japanese defeated Romanian Mihaela Buzarnescu (6-2, 6-2).
Krejcikova, ranked No 18, beat Russian Anna Blinkova (6-3, 6-1) in the previous round.
