Russian Daniil Medvedev, the top seed, reached the final of the Los Cabos Open by beating Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 4 seed, 7-6 (0), 6-1 at the Cabo del Mar Sports Center on Friday night.
Medvedev, ranked No 1, will play Cameron Norrie, the third seed and trophy holder. Norrie defeated Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the second seed, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3
The Russian and world number one still didn’t lose a set in Mexico, for the beginning of his American swing. Earlier in the tournament, the Russian won against Australian qualifier Rinky Hijikata (6-4, 6-3) and Lithuanian Ricardas Berankis (6-2, 6-2).
Kecmanovic, ranked No 38, won against Australian Jordan Thompson (6-4, 6-2) and American Brandon Nakashima, the No 6 seed (6-2, 6-4)
