US Open: Rogers sets up Jabeur clash in third round
Shelby Rogers beat Viktoria Kuzmova 7-5, 6-1 on Wednesday and will play Tunisian Ons Jabeur, the No 5 seed, in the next round

American Shelby Rogers, the No 31 seed, reached the third round of the US Open by winning against Slovak qualifier Viktoria Kuzmova 7-5, 6-1 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Wednesday.
Rogers, ranked No 31, will play Tunisian Ons Jabeur, the No 5 seed, next.
The American edged out Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus (3-6, 6-3, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Flushing Meadows, Kuzmova, ranked No 183, defeated Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo (6-3, 6-4).
