US Open: Kudermetova cruises to the third round
Veronika Kudermetova defeated Maryna Zanevska 6-2, 6-3 on Wednesday. She’ll play the winner of the match between Hungarian Dalma Galfi and Harriet Dart in the next round

Russian Veronika Kudermetova, the No 18 seed, advanced to the third round of the US Open by defeating Belgian Maryna Zanevska 6-2, 6-3 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Wednesday.
Kudermetova, ranked No 18, will face the winner of the match between Hungarian Dalma Galfi and Harriet Dart next.
The Russian still didn’t lose a set in two rounds. She won against Croat Donna Vekic (7-5, 6-3) in the previous round of the Flushing Meadows.
Zanevska, ranked No 97, beat American wildcard Coco Vandeweghe (6-1, 7-5).
