Parma Open: Zanevska moves into quarter-finals
Maryna Zanevska won against Dalma Galfi 6-1, 6-3 on Wednesday and will face the winner of the match between Greek Maria Sakkari, the top seed, and Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus in the next round
Belgian Maryna Zanevska moved into the last eight of the Parma Open by defeating Hungarian Dalma Galfi 6-1, 6-3 at the Tennis Club Parma on Wednesday.
Zanevska, ranked No 97, will play the winner of the match between Greek Maria Sakkari, the top seed, and Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus next.
In the previous round of the Parma Ladies Open, the Belgian won against Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 8 seed (6-3, 6-2). Galfi, ranked No 91, beat Russian qualifier Erika Andreeva (6-1, 6-2).
