Japan Open: Martinez advances to quarter-finals
Pedro Martinez won against Jaume Munar 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon and will play SoonWoo Kwon in the next round
Pedro Martinez moved into the quarter-finals of the Japan Open by winning against Jaume Munar 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 at the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo on Wednesday afternoon.
Martinez, ranked No 68, will face SoonWoo Kwon next.
In the previous round, Pedro Martinez defeated Australian Alexei Popyrin (7-5, 6-4).
Munar, ranked No 58, beat Norwegian Casper Ruud, the top seed (6-3, 6-3) in the previous round of the Tokyo Open.
