Monteiro sets up Carreno Busta clash in Gijon Open second round
Thiago Monteiro defeated Benjamin Bonzi 6-4, 7-5 to move into the second round of the ATP 250 event in Gijon, Spain
Brazil’s Thiago Monteiro advanced to the second round of the Gijon Open by beating Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi 6-4, 7-5 at the Palacio deportes on Monday afternoon.
Monteiro, ranked No 65, will face second seed Pablo Carreno Busta next.
