Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the top seed, beat American Maxime Cressy 7-6 (5), 7-6 (12) to move into the quarter-finals of the Stockholm Open at the Kungliga Tennishallen on Wednesday evening.
Tsitsipas had to save three set points in the second tie-breaking, before winning the battle after his fifth match points.
Tsitsipas, ranked No 5, will face the winner of the match between Swede Mikael Ymer and American Tommy Paul, the trophy holder and No 8 seed, next.
Cressy, ranked No 33, edged out Belarusian Ilya Ivashka (4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4) in the previous round of the Stockholm.
