Dallas Open: Thompson makes second round

Australian Jordan Thompson reached the second round of the Dallas Open by winning against American Denis Kudla 6-1, 7-5 at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Tuesday.

Thompson, ranked No 84, will play the winner of the match between American Steve Johnson and Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, the No 8 seed, next.
